This pure aero bike also builds on the success of its predecessors, on which icons like Robbie McEwen, André Greipel, and Caleb Ewan won Tour stages. One difference is the carbon lay-up, as well as the cockpit integration. The rider can equip the Noah with a classic handlebar/stem combination or the Cirrus Pro Integrated cockpit. In addition to electronic shifting, mechanical shifting is also still possible on this bike.   Progressive racing geometry A steeper seat angle aligns with the changing preference of riders towards a position with an open hip angle for a better power transfer. A lowered bottom bracket compensates for the wider tires used in modern cycling. Finally, the lower head tube with integrated cockpit allows the rider to have a more aggressive aero position, resulting in a reduced frontal area.   Pushing the limits of UCI regulations The Noah Fast has been fully developed based on the latest UCI regulations regarding tube shapes and profiles. The main difference is the use of the 8:1 rule, which allows tubes to be eight times longer than their width, whereas previously it was 3:1. The result is long, narrow profiles in the fork and seat stays.   Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) The universal derailleur hanger (UDH) is the new standard in the cycling world. Not only is this derailleur hanger compatible with all modern shifting groups, it also protects against derailleur breakage and chain drops. In mountain biking, UDH has long been very common, and Ridley is bringing the technology to other segments as well.   Ridley Essential Carbon The Noah brings all the best features of the Noah Fast to a more accessible price point. The carbon lay-up has been slightly adjusted, but the winning geometry remains intact. Our carbon is manufactured by the world market leader: Toray. The Japanese manufacturer is a pioneer in every aspect of carbon development and a supplier to absolute world-class brands in various industries. For the Essential Series, we use two types of carbon: 24T and 30T. The higher the tonnage, the higher the tensile strength and the fewer layers are needed to achieve the desired stiffness.
