Hope Stainless Steel MTB Bottom Bracket - Orange / English (BSA)

External BSA threaded options of Hope's stainless steel bottom brackets. Oversized 30mm option for hope cranks. Other models are standard 24mm for Shimano cranks. The machined aluminium cups hold full stainless steel cartridge bearings. These custom, Swiss made bearings are double sealed, fully serviceable and removable which give much greater life span than stock units. The bearings are made (as all our bearings are) by INA and have been designed to run directly on the crankset axle, without the use of shims or spacers - again increasing life and reliability. We use a non contact, free running labyrinth seal to protect the bearing externally, and the machined aluminium centre tube is sealed internally with o-rings. The unit is suitable for 68, and 73mm shell width. Standard 6 colours are available on cups - red, blue, silver, black, purple and gunmetal, with the centre tubes being black. Weight approx. 113g.

Hope's well proven stainless bottom brackets make an ideal upgrade or replacement for Shimano, Race Face and with an additional conversion kit (sold separately) Truvativ MTB cranksets - Not suitable for road bike cranksets.The machined aluminium cups hold full stainless steel INA Swiss made cartridge bearings which are custom made to give much greater life span than stock units and are also replaceable to reduce wastage and minimise expense. The bearings are designed to run directly on the crankset axle, without the use of shims or spacers which further increases lifespan and reliability when combined with the non contact, free running external labyrinth seal and o-rings on on internal aluminium centre tube. The external bottom bracket is available with two different bearing options.. Optimized for road use. . All common systems are covered with this upgrade unit - making it ideal for Shimano, Race Face, and others. . The machined aluminium cups hold either full stainless steel cartridge bearings, or ceramic bearings in stainless races. . These custom, Swiss made bearings are double sealed, fully serviceable and removable which give much greater life span than stock units. . The bearings are made (as all our bearings are) by INA and have been designed to run directly on the crankset axle, without the use of shims or spacers - again increasing life and reliability. . We use a non contact, free running labyrinth seal to protect the bearing externally, and the machined aluminium centre tube is sealed internally with o-rings. . The culmination of years of knowledge and expertise to make a more durable and better performing flat pedal. Manufactured in Barnoldswick, England, the platform has been re-designed with a clever dual concave profile as well as a new asymmetric shape that extends further (where the F20 did not) to give better shoe support and a superior planted feel. Platform grip comes from 22 pins, with an all-new design the pins are height adjustable and feature a unique hex shape to help keep your shoe locked in place. Hope kept the same proven F20 internal layout but revised the axle design for more strength, and long-term durability. Like everything they manufacture the F22 is fully serviceable with three internal cartridge bearings and all the internal and external seals you’ve grown accustomed to from Hope pedals. Features Redesigned platform compared to the F20. Pedal platform is CNC machined in Barnoldswick, UK.. Larger concave dome profile for stable foot support and a superior planted feel. .
