In 2019, The Áspero took the gravel world by storm, heralding a "new era of speed in gravel" Fun, but flat out. The Áspero remains true to its original brief, but with some improvements: a threaded BB shell, neater cable routing, and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger. And it’s more aero, of course. In the case of Áspero, aerodynamic performance is less about pure speed as a result of drag reduction, and more about conservation of energy. After a big day in a headwind, the three watts saved over the previous Aspero might add up to one less energy gel your stomach has to digest—WORTH IT. In addition to the drag reduction, Cervelo also dropped the seat stays to give a bit more compliance out back, and reduced front-end stiffness slightly to make the last hours of a long race less painful. Between those dropped seat stays, Cervelo added in a bit more clearance too, taking what they learned from previous bikes. It’s a lot of seemingly small improvements, but they add up to a lot. The result is a bike that feels a lot like the original Áspero, but is faster, more comfortable, and more versatile. Threaded Bottom Bracket Aspero uses the asymmetrical T47a threaded bottom bracket we pioneered on R5-CX. The Tripster AT Plus. Like a Tripster AT but more. Much more. More clearance, more capability, more gravel. More everything. Kinesis have taken the Tripster AT and jacked it to the hilt. With tyre clearance of up to 29 x 2.2" (700 x 56mm) you can have a larger tyre without the rolling ability compromise of a smaller diameter wheel. A narrower tyre should be used in muddier conditions. The Tripster AT Plus has a more sloping top tube than other Kinesis gravel bikes, giving the rider more manoeuvrability around the bike when the going gets rough. It also has a lower bottom bracket to lower the centre of gravity when fitted with larger tyres. The Plus is equipped with Kinesis All Terrain carbon fork with extended clearance for bigger tyres. This fork also comes with internal dynamo and brake hose routing, and cargo mounts rack it up, and ride on out. The Tripster AT Plus has triple bottle mounts, top tube mounts and fork cargo mounts for maximum bike-packing capability. The GX Race combines the speed and agility of our race winning CX Race frameset, with the strength and capability of our award winning Tripster AT frameset. With our new race inspired gravel geometry you are more aerodynamic in the drops or the hoods of the GX Race. A longer reach allows for shorter stems to be used and better off-road handling at high speed. If your riding extends to swift bike packing trips then you can still load this bike up to reach destinations faster. We have matched our GX Race premium alloy frame with the all-new Columbus Futura Cross Plus full carbon monocoque fork. The Futura Cross Plus features cargo mounts, internal dynamo cable routing, masses of tyre clearance and adjustable offset, all wrapped up in a lightweight package. The GX Race uses adaptable cable ports, allowing you to build your frame with exactly the right cable routing, whether you're running wireless, Di2 or mechanical 2x or 1x gearing. As with our other framesets, we have partnered with GW Engineering and we are supplying the GX Race frame with their patented ‘Switch Lever’ lightweight hollow thru axles with a removable lever. Features Tough yet lightweight 6069 series tubeset with tapered machined headtube.. All new colour matched Columbus Futura Plus carbon fork with 12mm Thru-Axle.. Inboard Shimano Flat-Mount disc mounts on frame and fork (maximum 160mm rotors).. Seat stay mounts for mudguards and pannier racks.
