These Schmincke Oil Bronze powders are perfect for creating iridescent metal effects on oil paintings, or other pre-primed surfaces, such as wood or metal. You will need to adda bronze medium containing cumarone resin. If you are working on absorbent surfaces, we suggest you pre-treat the surface with a turpentine substitute with some thinned bronze medium. Mix 3 parts Oil-Bronze and 2 parts bronze medium with a painting knife shortly before application. If necessary, thin with a turpentine substitute. This medium will dry to a wipe and water-resistant finish, however colour layers will remain soluble to turpentine or a turpentine substitute after drying.�
