Liquitex Professional Fabric Medium enhances the workability of acrylic paint on fabric and reduces the dry paint stiffness. It controls the bleeding of colour and gives a consistent even smooth application which is especially useful on rough textured fabrics and there is no need to heat set. Once dry it can be machine washed. To use mix a ratio of medium 1:1 with a soft bodied acrylic (for heavier acrylics more may be needed to get your desired consistency). Stir your mix slowly to avoid creating a foam. Paint can be applied using a brush or roller for a thin layer to avoid cracking. If you require a watercolour affect adjust the mix to medium 5:1 soft bodied acrylic paint. Test on a piece of fabric first to make sure you are getting good coverage without bleeding.
